Pictured below is one of the four seat belt reenforcement first is a 1/4 plywood block followed by 7 layers of BID fiberglass. The remaining parts for this chapter are on the way (except the seat belts). Only about an hour left on this chapter and on to the main landing gear prep and installation.

Chapter 7 - Seat belts and rollover - Part 2
This weekend I assembled the headrest. After glassing I cut out map hole and the round hole at the back of the headrest. After searching all over my shop the only round thing I could find that matched the size of the hole called out in the plans was the bottom of a mixing cup (I have to wonder if this is just a coincidence).
After I cut the holes I gouged out some foam, I then filled in the void with flox to make a nice sturdy edge.
Completed headrest.
Foam routed out for flox reenforcement
map holder in action
Beverage holder?

Chapter 7 - Seat belts and rollover - Part 1
Chapter 6 is complete, finally! This next chapter should go really fast. Pictured is my co-pilot trying out the cockpit. On the left you can see my shop assistant Bender. He is not good for much, but if I need anything bent.....
I have started to work on the roll over structure. I am awaiting a shipment of epoxy resin and I will glass the inside of the roll over parts as soon as it arrives next week.
I plan on using a gas strut for the canopy stay so I have a couple of plywood inserts in the back of the roll over as pictured. The other two small foam pieces with inserts are reinforcement for the shoulder harnes attachment bolts.
